Theatres of Friuli: The Hidden Roots of Entertainment Culture
diciembre 15, 2013What Will You Do For A Breath of Night?
diciembre 18, 2013Visually stunning, “Before they pass away “ is a cross between an art book and a historic document. British photographer Jimmy Nelson has spent the past three years taking pictures of the last surviving tribes in the most remote part of the globe, from the Bayan Olgii in Mongolia to the most remote part south of Ethiopia near the border with Sudan, where the Mursi women or Mun as they refer to themselves, have a tradition for wearing a clay plate in their lower lip.
Nelson’s journey begins with the acceptance of these tribes to pose in front of the camera and ends with the moments of their unique living captured in this book.
Jimmy Nelson celebrates the great beauty that lies underneath our modern world. Against all the odds, these tribes manage to keep their strong individuality intact and remind us how much of our own individuality has been lost in our society. “Before they pass away” will take you on an epic journey to discover how precious every human being is.
